Literature Text
The Lost Pianist
Tears reminisce mahogany boxed memories,
Of ecstatic crescendos and tearful diminuendos.
For deep in eternal sadness lies the lost pianist,
Who once dreamt of glorious symphonies.
As he caresses the goddess of the piano,
She moans of rhythmic joy and pleasure,
Executing works that rival the Siren's song,
Echoing the lost voices of her past masters.
But in time's command, their hearts went astray.
Each lying in their own pool of heartfelt miseries.
While he walks asunder, away from melodic Eden,
She beckons to him, yearning to be loved.
Her sorrowful notes whisper his name,
When he contemplates sweet nostalgia.
They swore to eternity to unite in bliss.
A promise that surpasses a mere forevermore.

October Eyes
Such gentle colors drip across your freckled shoulder blades.
A quilt of puddled watercolors soaked in auburn shades.
Spun of golden rivulets and rinsed in autumn skies,
So many endless currents swimming through your lonesome eyes.
Brushing under fingertips and over shattered songs,
Unraveling like morning glaze against my paling palms.
With beauty like October hills and hollow as the skies,
The water drops against the earth will be our lullaby.

Dreamers
She reminds me that she's a dreamer
Her right hand delicately grips a pencil
as she's working equations on a TI-89 with her left
She looks up at me and smiles,
and there are stars, meteors,
spanning across the cosmos of her expression
her countenance reminds me to look up at the chalkboard
that's attempting to teach me how
to make verses sing from pages in a plain 8 by 11 notebook
and I am only armed with
a .7 pencil and a purple pen,
stolen from my older sister's pencil pouch
My hands are inches away from hers
from the desks side by side
like cars parallel parked on a side road
her equations confuse me
until she flips the

One thing I noticed about my last three poems is that I don't write something that's personal to me or what's within myself. The themes are usually based on fantasy or have general themes. So from that point I decided to change that and thus this was made.
This piece is, in a way, very personal and abstract in a way. Because I placed myself in the poem and the substance is very real. In here I am The Lost Pianist. It's just a simple poem but emphatic in its own right...
Inspiration: Basically when I was still around 6-7 years I was already learning how to play the piano. I learned basic pieces to once made by famous pianists like Beethoven and Brahms, just to name a few. But as I grew I became uninterested and I stopped playing. It's been 8 years since I've played the piano and I feel like playing again.
Out of the saddest poems I've made this one takes it...
Some songs I listened to...
"About Today" - The National
"Sirena" - Gloc - 9 (This is one is Original Pinoy Music)
"The Day You Said Goodnight" - Hale (Another OPM)
Poem (c) Me
