Literature Text

The forest shared my cries on the day she died
At the hands of those masked behind tainted divinity.
Now my tears have dried as I stood at her grave
For her spirit whispers in agony of that fateful day.

When the flames roared at the pyre's furnace
She screamed to heavens. I looked on in grief.
The thorn in my heart has made its mark
For the charred remains have shared disdain.

Now the sky grew black and so did my soul,
For the crimes I shall inflict upon them solace me.
Ravens flock my conscience, clouding happiness
I made my descent to the realm of violence.

An arcane circle of roses wrap me in dreams of her,
Basked in the rays of magnificence as beauty streams
She strides in passionate waters where
The placid lake reflects upon my sorrow.

Henceforth I fear no longer death
For they never felt the searing pain of my loss.
The warmth of love radiates no more as
I waltz in the darkness alone.
As the weekend shows itself, I decided to make time for writing. It's been awhile since I made a narrative poem, but here's a summary:

Basically it's a tragic romance of a man and women. The priests ("those masked behind tainted divinity") accuse her of committing a crime she did not do. She was burned at the stake while the man swore vengeance and justice.

Well that's what you get when you listen to many heartbreaking songs in one day.

Songs:

Gone Forever - Three Days Grace
Swansong For A Raven & Pallid Reflection- Cradle Of Filth

This will be my last poem before I start studying for the exams next week. Wish me luck!!
